Authorities in Denmark are investigating a security loophole in Chinese-made electric buses that allows for remote deactivation, following similar concerns in Norway. The Norwegian public transport authority, Ruter, found risks during tests and plans to implement stricter security measures for future bus procurements. Movia, Denmark’s largest public transport company, operates 469 such buses and acknowledges that this issue is not limited to Chinese vehicles. The situation highlights broader vulnerabilities in vehicles with integrated Chinese electronics.
