On his 70th birthday, America’s oldest serving astronaut, Dan Pettit, returned to Earth aboard the Soyuz MS-26 capsule after a 220-day mission on the International Space Station (ISS), during which he orbited the Earth 3,520 times. Pettit, who has now spent a total of 590 days in space, completed his fourth mission alongside Russian cosmonauts Alexey Ovchinin and Ivan Vagner, who will return to Russia for further training.
