Innocent man's identity used to scam football fans

Richard Russell, a Scottish man, had his identity stolen to front a fake Premier League football ticket website called Ticket Maestro. Scammed fans believed he was responsible for their lost money, as his name was used without his knowledge. The website claimed to sell tickets for various football matches but disappeared after taking thousands of pounds in ticket orders. Mr. Russell, who had no involvement in football tickets, was shocked to discover his name on official documents and worked to remove it. Trustpilot removed hundreds of reviews linking him to the scam, and PayPal received refund claims from defrauded fans.
