Summary
In December 2018, the renowned anonymous artist Banksy unveiled “Season’s Greetings” on a garage wall in Port Talbot, just before Christmas, attracting a surge of visitors to the area. The artwork depicted a boy playing in what appears to be snow, which upon closer inspection is revealed to be ash from a bin fire, symbolizing the steelworks’ pollution. This event and the community’s reactions have inspired a play titled “Port Talbot Gotta Banksy,” crafted entirely from the townspeople’s responses to the artwork.
