Finlay MacDonald, 41, was sentenced to at least 28 years in prison for a series of violent attacks in the Scottish Highlands, including stabbing his wife Rowena and shooting his brother-in-law John MacKinnon on the Isle of Skye before attempting to kill Fay and John MacKenzie on the mainland. The attacks unfolded over the course of an hour, starting at the MacDonalds’ family home in Tarskavaig and ending in the MacKenzies’ home in Dornie, where the couple fought back and subdued MacDonald with the help of police.
