Four teenagers have been detained for life for the mistaken murders of best friends Max Dixon and Mason Rist, who were killed in Bristol in a case of mistaken identity. The victims, aged 15 and 16, were stabbed to death with machetes after being wrongly identified as responsible for a previous incident. The defendants, including an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old, were sentenced to minimum terms ranging from 15 to 23 years, while a fifth defendant received a life sentence with a minimum of 38 years.
