Manville and Lithgow score top Olivier prizes

Lesley Manville and John Lithgow were among the top winners at the Olivier Awards, the most prestigious event in UK theatre. Lithgow won best actor for his role as Roald Dahl in Giant, calling it one of his best stage experiences. Manville was named best actress for her performance in Oedipus, dedicating the award to her grandson.
