Woman remanded over McCann family stalking charges

Julia Wandel, also known as Julia Wandelt, was arrested at Bristol Airport on suspicion of stalking the McCann family, claiming to be their missing daughter Madeleine. Charged with four counts of stalking involving serious alarm and distress, she allegedly sent messages, voicemails, and visited the family home, prompting her remand into custody until her plea hearing on 7 April. A 60-year-old woman from Wales, also arrested for stalking, has been released on bail, while the disappearance of Madeleine McCann in 2007 remains unsolved.
