war crimes are being committed, says ICC

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has reported “reasonable grounds” for war crimes and crimes against humanity in western Sudan, particularly highlighting targeted sexual violence against specific ethnicities amid ongoing conflict between the Sudanese army and Rapid Support Forces (RSF). With over 12 million displaced and worsening humanitarian conditions, UNICEF warns that children are suffering from severe malnutrition, while the RSF denies involvement in the violence described as a “tribal conflict.”

Explain It To Me Like I’m 5: The International Criminal Court says there are serious reasons to believe that bad things, like hurting people and taking away their homes, are happening in western Sudan because of a fight between two groups, and many families, including children, are suffering and need help.
