A U.S. company, Sunfed Produce, LLC, is recalling cucumbers sold in Ontario and other Canadian provinces due to possible salmonella contamination linked to reported illnesses. The cucumbers were packaged in bulk cardboard containers labeled “SunFed” or black plastic crates with a sticker reading “Agrotato, S.A. de C.V.” The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation and SunFed is notifying direct buyers while confirming that no other products are affected by the recall.
