Thousands of spectators gathered in the City of London to watch the 2024 Lord Mayor’s Show procession, featuring 7,000 people, 250 horses, and 150 floats from Guildhall to the Royal Courts of Justice. Alistair King, the 696rd Lord Mayor, participated in his first public engagement by traveling to the Royal Courts to swear allegiance to the Crown before assuming his duties. The event, which dates back to the 13th Century, can be viewed on the BBC iPlayer.
