Vigil held to commemorate five years since Sarah Everard’s death

About 100 people attended a vigil in Clapham Common, south London, to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Sarah Everard’s murder. Everard, a 33-year-old marketing executive, was killed by Metropolitan Police officer Wayne Couzens in 2021, an event that sparked a nationwide conversation on women’s safety. The vigil honored all victims of violence against women and raised funds for Solace Women’s Aid, which supports those affected by domestic abuse.
