Cree Nation in Quebec under lockdown after shootings

The Cree Nation of Mistissini in Quebec is under lockdown following a shooting incident that resulted in two fatalities. Chief Michael Petawabano reported that local and provincial police are investigating the incident, which occurred Wednesday night, and may be linked to organized crime. All community buildings are closed, and residents are urged to stay indoors as law enforcement conducts its investigation. The lockdown will remain until it is deemed safe to resume normal activities.
