Typhoo Tea, a 120-year-old teamaker, has been rescued by vape maker Supreme in a £10m deal after falling into administration due to declining sales and rising debts. While the acquisition will keep Typhoo “in British hands,” manufacturing will be moved abroad. Supreme’s CEO, Sandy Chadha, cited Typhoo’s iconic status and his personal connection to the brand as motivation for the purchase, part of the company’s strategy to diversify its offerings beyond e-cigarettes.

Eight injured ‘including mum with pram’ after SUV ploughs into crowd in city centre
