Government making thousands more building products available in New Zealand

The New Zealand Government is expanding the availability of building products, including plasterboard and cladding systems, to reduce reliance on a limited number of suppliers. Building and Construction Minister Chris Penk highlighted that this move is aimed at driving down construction costs, which are currently 50% higher than in Australia, during an announcement in Auckland with Prime Minister Christopher Luxon.
