Manchester United’s former first-team coach Benni McCarthy revealed that the biennial Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) schedule influenced the club’s decision not to pursue Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who had an impressive 26 league goals for Napoli in the 2022-23 season.
