Coyote leaps fence, kills Charlotte family’s dog. ‘She loved everybody,’ owner says.

In northeast Charlotte, a couple warned their neighbors after a coyote leaped over their fence and killed their nearly 2-year-old miniature pinscher, Phoebe. The incident occurred early Friday as the owners let Phoebe outside, and despite efforts to save her at an emergency veterinary clinic, she succumbed to her injuries. The couple urged residents to remain vigilant, highlighting that coyotes are more aggressive during pupping season and stressing the importance of keeping pets safe from such wildlife encounters.
