A couple from Brook Green, west London, Mia Forbes Pirie and Mark Simpson, tracked down their stolen Jaguar E-Pace and retrieved it themselves after the police indicated they were too busy to investigate. The car, equipped with a tracking device, was found with damage from thieves attempting to access its wiring. Despite the couple’s successful recovery, they expressed concern over the police’s lack of resources and the absence of consequences for car theft, questioning the effectiveness of law enforcement in such cases.
