Consumers – not businesses – feel full brunt of carbon tax: Poll

A recent poll conducted by Leger on behalf of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation found that nearly half of Canadians believe that businesses will pass on the costs of an industrial carbon tax to consumers. The poll indicates that most Canadians understand that everyday people bear the brunt of carbon taxes, not large corporations. Supporters of the Green Party and NDP ranked higher than Federal Liberal supporters in feeling that businesses will pass on the costs of industrial carbon taxes to consumers.
