A military court in Congo has sentenced 37 people, including a Canadian, to death for their involvement in a coup attempt. The defendants, which include individuals from various nationalities such as Briton, Belgian, and Americans, have the option to appeal within five days. The trial, which began in June, resulted in the acquittal of 14 individuals, with the proceedings taking place in an open-air military court in the capital.
