Maia Johnston, a 19-year-old woman, has been reported missing after leaving a family address in Totara Park, Upper Hutt, at 8.30pm on Saturday to go for a walk. Concerned police and family are appealing for information, with CCTV footage being requested for sightings between 8 and 9pm. Johnston’s mother, Amy Walsh, expressed worry as Johnston, visiting from Hamilton, is unfamiliar with the area and was last seen wearing black jeans shorts, a green shoestring singlet, and a black t-shirt.
