A company is recalling nearly 10 million pounds of meat and poultry products made at an Oklahoma plant due to possible listeria contamination, leading to concerns of illness and death. BrucePac of Oregon initiated the recall after listeria was detected in samples of poultry, with 75 meat and chicken products affected, including grilled chicken breast strips produced between June and October. Officials advise throwing away products with best-by dates of June to October 2025, as listeria infections can cause serious illness and are especially dangerous for vulnerable populations.
