Comancheros crackdown will have little impact on drug trade – UC gang researcher

A gang researcher warns that the police crackdown on the Comanchero motorbike gang will not significantly impact the drug trade, despite 81 out of 92 gang members facing criminal charges following a 2021 investigation. The gang is accused of money laundering, drug importing, and providing military-style training. Over 200 kilograms of methamphetamine and $9 million in assets were seized as part of the operation.
