The Colorado Buffaloes’ 49-24 victory over the Utah Utes was a special moment as it marked the fulfillment of a promise made by Deion Sanders to superfan Peggy Coppom to get the team to a bowl game in her honor. Coppom, who celebrated her 100th birthday on the day of the game, has been a loyal Buffaloes fan since the 1940s and developed a close relationship with Sanders during the 2023 season.
