CoE and Eskom meet to resolve outstanding debt

The CoE and Eskom met to address Ekurhuleni’s outstanding debt, led by MMC for Finance and acting Executive Mayor Jongizizwe Dlabathi and Eskom’s Gauteng general manager Bandile Jack. They agreed to ongoing engagement and dispute resolution to avoid electricity disconnections, with the city committed to servicing its account with Eskom and ensuring no interruptions in power supply. City spokesperson Zweli Dlamini emphasized the importance of maintaining dialogue with Eskom to address issues amicably.
