Coastguard Canterbury’s ‘Big Blue Tractor’ has reached the end of its life after serving for decades, with the decision made to retire the iconic vessel. The tractor, which has been a vital part of Coastguard operations for years, will now be decommissioned and replaced with a newer, more efficient vessel to continue their lifesaving work on the water. Despite its retirement, the ‘Big Blue Tractor’ will be fondly remembered by Coastguard members and supporters for its years of dedicated service.
