CNN staffers feel executive got a raw deal after taking one ‘for the team’ at high-profile defamation trial

CNN staffers believe executive Adam Levine was treated unfairly after being stripped of responsibilities, just two months after taking one “for the team” during a defamation trial. Levine, who represented CNN during the trial and settled punitive damages, was relegated to overseeing only two smaller units in the politics unit. Despite feeling he deserved better treatment, the staffers hold no animosity towards Phil Rucker, who will assume many of Levine’s responsibilities.
