Stockholm Marathon Winner Shewarge Alene Dies at Age 30

Ethiopian runner Shewarge Alene, aged 30, has died following an illness during a training session, confirmed by the Stockholm marathon organizers. Alene, who won the 2025 adidas Stockholm Marathon, had a successful career with 12 victories in 27 marathons and recorded her personal best time of 2:27:26 in Cape Town in 2023.
