Bill Gates’ Commitment to Africa
Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, announced that he will allocate most of his $200 billion fortune to enhance health and education services in Africa over the next 20 years, emphasizing the potential for prosperity through these sectors. Speaking in Addis Ababa, he encouraged young innovators to leverage AI for healthcare improvements, citing Rwanda’s use of AI in ultrasound technology for high-risk pregnancies as a model. Gates’ foundation aims to end preventable deaths and lift millions out of poverty, with plans to cease operations by 2045.
