TikTok says it will 'go dark' in US on Sunday without intervention

TikTok has warned that it will be forced to “go dark” in the US on Sunday unless the government intervenes before a federal ban goes into effect. The company criticized the Biden White House and Department of Justice for not providing clarity on the issue, stating that without immediate assurances of non-enforcement, TikTok will have to shut down on January 19. This follows a Supreme Court ruling upholding a law that would ban the app unless its parent company, ByteDance, sells the platform by the deadline.
