Claressa Shields: Ban for marijuana lifted but sanctions still possible

Three-weight undisputed world champion Claressa Shields had her doping suspension lifted after testing positive for marijuana following a fight in February. The Michigan Unarmed Combat Commission stated that Shields no longer posed a threat to the sport’s integrity and public interest. While her suspension was lifted, further sanctions may still be possible according to the commission.
