Rwanda-US migrant deal’s first group of deportees arrive, says spokesperson

Seven migrants deported from the US have arrived in Rwanda as part of a deal under the Trump administration to resettle 250 migrants. Rwandan officials stated that while four migrants would stay, three chose to return home, amid concerns from rights groups about potential international law violations and Rwanda’s human rights record.
