All migrants held at Guantanamo Bay have been transferred back to the US, with the last group being transported to an immigration facility in Louisiana. President Donald Trump’s order to expand the facility to hold undocumented migrants has resulted in only a few hundred individuals being sent there so far. A federal judge is set to hear a legal challenge on the legality of sending migrants to Guantanamo, a practice criticized by human rights groups, as the US continues efforts to overhaul its immigration system.
