CJI DY Chandrachud recommends Justice Sanjiv Khanna as his successor in Supreme Court, say sources – India TV

Chief Justice DY Chandrachud is set to retire on November 10 and has recommended Justice Sanjiv Khanna as his successor, following government guidelines. Justice Khanna, the most senior judge after CJI Chandrachud, is expected to serve as the Chief Justice of India from November 10, 2024, to May 13, 2025, bringing his legal expertise in taxation and commercial laws to the role after a notable judicial career spanning two decades in the Supreme Court and Delhi High Court.
