A California doctor, Dr. Mark Chavez, has been sentenced to eight months of home detention and three years of supervised release for selling ketamine to Friends star Matthew Perry, making him the second person sentenced in connection with the actor’s death. Chavez admitted to illegally obtaining ketamine and supplying it to Dr. Salvador Plasencia, who provided the drug to Perry. Plasencia was previously sentenced to 30 months in prison. Five individuals, including Chavez and Plasencia, have pleaded guilty to drug-related charges linked to Perry’s 2023 death.
