Thousands attend funeral of Amadou Bagayoko in Mali

Thousands of people gathered in Mali for the funeral of musician Amadou Bagayoko, of the duo Amadou & Mariam. The ceremony in Bamako was attended by friends, relatives, fans, and artists like Salif Keita and Moussa Mara. Known for combining West African influences with rhythm and blues, their 2004 album Dimanche à Bamako was a global success, leading to collaborations with Damon Albarn and performances at major music festivals.
