City in Illinois ranks as fourth best for first-time homebuyers – NBC Chicago

ConsumerAffairs released a report ranking the top five best cities for first-time homebuyers, with Aurora, Illinois, coming in at number four due to its affordability and access to parks. Metrics used included median home price, affordability ratio, and home appreciation rate. Other cities on the list were Fort Wayne, Indiana; Chesapeake, Virginia; Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Gilbert, Arizona, with the worst cities being in California and New Jersey.
