Chris Packham and Campaign for Penguin Release
Naturalist Chris Packham joined around 300 protesters at the Free The Fifteen rally, demanding the release of 15 gentoo penguins held in what he termed ‘hideous’ conditions at Sea Life London Aquarium. Despite the aquarium’s claims of a suitable habitat, Packham and others argue the penguins deserve relocation to facilities with outdoor enclosures, emphasizing the lack of natural light and fresh air in their current basement environment.
