A 52-year-old Chinese woman who overstayed her visa died by suicide while in US border patrol custody in Arizona, according to Democratic congresswoman Pramila Jayapal. Officials did not publicly acknowledge her death until inquiries were made. The woman was initially detained in California before being transferred to the Yuma station, where she died on 29 March.
