China wants to dominate in AI — and some of its models are already beating their U.S. rivals

China’s efforts to dominate the world of artificial intelligence are showing signs of success, with Chinese AI models gaining popularity and outperforming those from the U.S. Industry experts and analysts believe that China’s AI technology is on par with, if not surpassing, American counterparts. To counter U.S. restrictions on cutting-edge AI chips, China is focusing on open-sourcing technology and developing its own super-fast software and chips to enhance the performance of its AI models.
