China is investigating four workers at Foxconn for suspected bribery and embezzlement after authorities in Taipei raised concerns about their detention in Zhengzhou. Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council described the circumstances as “strange” and Foxconn stated no losses were incurred. Beijing’s Taiwan Affairs Office confirmed the investigation, ensuring the suspects’ rights will be protected.
