A group of young Palestinian survivors, brought to the U.S. in a large medical evacuation from Gaza, arrived at O’Hare International Airport to receive lifesaving surgeries and medical equipment at Shriner’s Hospitals. Organized by the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, these children, accompanied by family members, are in need of both physical and mental health care due to the trauma they have experienced. While some children are staying with host families in Chicago, others will be going to cities like Portland and Sacramento for further treatment.
