Childhood friends from Payneville, separated during apartheid, reunited after over 20 years to reminisce about their past. Eva Sandamela-Padi and her friends initiated the We Remember Payneville campaign to bring the community together and plan a commemoration event for next year, starting with a Mass at the church and a tour of the area. The emotional reunion aimed to rekindle friendships and remember the good times shared before the separation caused by the Group Areas Act.
