A fire that started in a vape shop adjacent to Glasgow Central railway station caused significant damage, leading to the collapse of part of a historic building. Lamin Kongira, a local chef, attempted to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher but was forced to retreat due to explosions. The incident prompted the evacuation of nearby hotels and the suspension of train services. Over £80,000 has been raised to support affected businesses, including a hair salon.
