One person died and 15 people were rescued after an overloaded small boat carrying around 40 individuals attempted to cross the English Channel from Dunkirk. The boat later picked up more passengers from the Gravelines coast before encountering trouble, leading to three individuals being saved from the water and 12 others requesting evacuation. Despite efforts to save them, one person was declared dead, while the remaining rescued individuals received medical treatment on a French patrol boat.
