Brahim Diaz, a 26-year-old forward born in Malaga, has emerged as a national icon for Morocco during their pursuit of a second Africa Cup of Nations title. After representing Spain once, he switched to Morocco in 2023 and is currently the tournament’s top scorer. Diaz’s multicultural background and early development in futsal shaped his playing style, leading to stints at Manchester City and Real Madrid, and a successful loan at AC Milan, where he contributed to their Serie A title win. He now returns to Madrid as a more seasoned player.
