George Clooney has expressed his excitement over receiving his first Tony Award nomination for his debut Broadway performance in Good Night, and Good Luck.
He is among several stars, including Nicole Scherzinger, Sarah Snook, and Bob Odenkirk, who also received their first nominations for their roles in Sunset Blvd, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and Glengarry Glen Ross, respectively.
The Tony Awards celebrate excellence in Broadway theatre, with this year’s nominations led by the musicals Buena Vista Social Club, Death Becomes Her, and Maybe Happy Ending, each receiving 10 nods.
