Study Finds Kissing Safe for Celiac Patients
A new study indicates that individuals with celiac disease can kiss partners who have recently consumed gluten without fear of adverse reactions. Conducted by Anne Lee and presented at Digestive Disease Week, the research involved ten couples, revealing that only 10% of kisses resulted in gluten levels exceeding safe thresholds, and no symptoms were reported. Experts suggest that while kissing is generally safe, those with extreme gluten sensitivity may still need to exercise caution, such as having their partner drink water beforehand.
