South African diplomat found dead near Paris hotel

South Africa’s ambassador to France, Nathi Mthethwa, was found dead near the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Paris after being reported missing by his wife. An investigation has been launched into the circumstances of his death; Mthethwa, a prominent member of the African National Congress and former government minister, was known for his close ties to former President Jacob Zuma.
