Man arrested after climbing Big Ben at Palace of Westminster

A man was arrested after climbing Big Ben’s Elizabeth Tower at the Palace of Westminster in central London, holding a Palestinian flag. After a 16-hour standoff, emergency crews negotiated with him, and he came down in a cherry picker as Big Ben struck midnight. Westminster Police worked with other agencies to ensure the safety of all involved, leading to the closure of Westminster Bridge and cancellations of tours of the Parliamentary Estate.
